Ray Laub was born in 1937, is married and has a family of seven children and nine grandchildren. He is President of Terry Creek Company which has developed Country Place in Travelers Rest South Carolina.
From 1962 until 2003, Ray was an insurance
executive. For 30 years he was owner and Chief
Executive of Laub Group Inc a major Midwestern
regional insurance agency and broker headquartered
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1997 Laub Group was
acquired by the Horton Group based in Orland
Park, Illinois.
In 1969, in conjunction with Ella D. Laub, his mother, he co-founded Rudella Corp as a family corporation to develop the land that is now River Trail Subdivision and Stonefields Subdivision, Mequon, Wisconsin.
Over a period of 25 years Rudella Corporation developed one hundred home sites valued at over ten million dollars. During this same period, Ella Laub systematically transferred the ownership and financial benefits
of Rudella Corp to her children and grandchildren.
Ray is a former Regional Chairman of the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology Educational Council.
He served six terms on the Nicolet Board of Education;
and has had past leadership roles on the boards
of DePaul Rehabilitation Hospital; St. Michael
Hospital Foundation, Cardinal Stritch University;
Ripon College; Assurex International and the
Wisconsin Independent Insurance Agents. He has
served on the boards of eight private primary
and secondary schools.
Ray has degrees from Ripon College, the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, and the Wharton School
of Finance.
Currently Ray lives with his wife Pat in the
Cliffs Valley Development at 2 Rose Thorn Court,
Travelers Rest, South Carolina 29690.
